Ross Campbell

I make insects from clay and wire.  Each piece is made up of several small bug parts stuck together  with small pins of wire while the clay is still moist. Once dry I apply underglaze for colour and glaze where necessary.  The special wire, clay, and underglaze are fired in the Kiln at approximately 1080 Celsius.  My work is entirely decorative, my interpretation of the real thing, and has little to do with biological accuracy.
