I want to deeply breathe in the landscape around me and let this exhale life into my pots; that is my sole aim. If I can impart just a small part of the landscape into my work then I am satisfied.
Pottery has an affinity with the landscape – the potter works with water, earth, fire, wood, salt, metal and stone – all belong in the potters palette and these ingredients are used to create the work.
Porcelain allows me to shape a canvas upon which my feelings for the landscape can be harmoniously expressed.
