Hannah Tounsend
Hannah Tounsend is a ceramicist and printmaker based in Rutland.
Tounsend is best known for her elegant hybrid vessels that are formed with a unique making method that combines the techniques of slip casting and throwing. In recent years, she has become increasingly fascinated by the meticulous tests and record keeping that underpin ceramic surfaces. This has led her to widen her practice to include wall-mounted clay compositions and vessel groupings that celebrate and document the exploration of clay surface possibilities.
