A longstanding fascination with drawn perspective has become a way of making pots. Current pots focus on geometric and impossible structures. The slab pots are assembled from a grogged clay overlaid with stained porcelain veneer , sometimes with slip applied and inlaid, and fired to stoneware. A drawn design process playfully explores the ways we see form and is offset against the wild pattern of the clay. This trick of the eye is both fun and serious and hopefully enjoyable to the beholder.
